Can I schedule holiday service?We are happy to care for your pet 365 days a year. We are also happy to care for our employees 365 days a year. We do schedule skeleton staff on weekends and holidays to make care available, however, slots fill quickly. The bigger the holiday the quicker they fill. Please book early and enjoy the Brooklyn Bark Peace of Mind that we’ll be there. We observe Federal Holidays. Holiday fees ($15/visit) apply to the entire weekend if the Holiday is on a weekend or considered a “3 day weekend”. What services does Brooklyn Bark offer for cats?Cats have unique needs that can vary, and that's why we offer several options for cat visits. Our standard cat visit is 30 minutes, this includes feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and playtime. For cats who prefer less company, we also offer shortened visits that last up to an 20 minutes. On the opposite end of that spectrum, we have 45 minute visits for those especially social cats or multi-cat households. Our Care Associates will provide extra playtime and affection during those extended appointments. We also offer service add-ons for cats with special needs, such as administering medication or providing extra monitoring. Our team of professional pet sitters will work with you to create a customized schedule and care plan that meets your cat's needs and your preferences. Whether it's a daily visit, a few times a week, or just for special occasions, we're here to provide quality care and attention to your feline friend.

Does Brooklyn Bark offer overnight pet care?Yes, Brooklyn Bark offers overnight care for pets. Our experienced pet sitters can stay in your home (referred to as a Sleepover) or your pet can stay in the home of one of our trusted sitters (referred to as a Boarding). Our Care Associates provide your pet with the care and attention they need while you are away, its like a staycation for your furry bestie! Overnight care includes feeding, walking, playtime, and any necessary medication administration. The best part? Kennels are never involved unless your pet needs one! We understand the importance of peace of mind while you are away from your furry family member and will send daily updates and photos to keep you informed. Brooklyn Bark proudly serves several neighborhoods in Brooklyn, including Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Brooklyn Heights, BedStuy, Crown Heights, and Fort Greene. We also offer services in nearby areas, such as Prospect Heights and some areas of Kensington, Red Hook, and Gowanus. What are your business hours?Brooklyn Bark's standard operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the last walks of the day preferably starting no later than 5:30 p.m. Do we offer extended business hours? Yes! Brooklyn Bark offers before and after hours appointments on an as-available basis. If you need an appointment outside of our standard hours, there is an additional fee.

Does Brooklyn Bark have a physical location for daycare or boarding services?No, Brooklyn Bark does not have a store front location for daycare or boarding services. However, we offer alternative options for your pet's care. When you book a daycare or overnight service with us, your pet will have the option of staying in your home with one of our Care Associates or going to the home of one of our Care Associates instead. This allows your pet to stay in a familiar environment or in a home-like environment to maintain their routine while you are away.

How do I become a Brooklyn Bark client?Brooklyn Bark is not an on-demand pet care company and as such we have a client onboarding process. We pride ourselves on our comprehensive onboarding process because it contributes to our outstanding quality of service. For new clients we have two form options. We have an in-depth intake form that will boost you in our queue and is the best option for those seeking service as soon as possible. For those who don't urgently need service, we have a condensed form. You can find a link to the condensed form on our contact page. Once our Inquiry Team has reviewed your submitted information, they'll coordinate a complimentary Meet and Greet with your primary Care Associate. Meet and Greets are required before the start of any Dog Walking service and are typically required for Alternative Overnight services, however there can be exceptions. Cat and Critter Sitting do not require a Meet and Greet, but you are welcome to request one!

What is Brooklyn Bark's cancellation policy?We prefer a minimum of 24 hours notice for any cancellations. If a cancellations made in less than 24 hours of the scheduled visit, will incur a $10 fee may apply. Cancellations that occur less than 4 hours before the scheduled visit will be charged in full. However, we do recognize unforeseen circumstances and emergencies, and we are always willing to work with our clients to find a suitable solution.
