Brooklyn Bark Loves Clinton Hill

The Clinton Hill Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The Hill is one of the highest points in Brooklyn and is a gorgeous setting for one of our country's leading art and architecture schools, Pratt, as well as St. Joseph's College.

Not surprisingly, the area is populated with artists and architects, many recent grads participating in one of Brooklyn's favorite pastimes, Brownstone renovation.

DeKalb Avenue is the local "restaurant row" featuring numerous eating places, many of which have dog-friendly outdoor dining in warm weather. For a very special dinner with your dog in tow, try Madiba where  the outdoor tables are dog-friendly and there's always a big bowl of water available in warm weather. The authentic South African food is also nothing to sneeze at.

On the other side of the Hill, there's Putnam's on Myrtle avenue with lots of outdoor seating , great food and around two dozen beer taps.

Very much a neighborhood on the rise, there are many trees growing in this part of Brooklyn making the 11205 zip code a great place for dogs.
